01La nostra storia

Twelve years,
one yes.

In 2015, on a hidden pebble beach below the gardens of Villa Melzi, Liam got down on one knee and Jess said yes.

Then a pandemic postponed us. Then Alfie arrived and postponed us again. This is third time lucky.

On Friday 2 April 2027 we're coming back to Bellagio to finally do this properly: just us, our boys, and the people who've been with us through every postponement. Our favourite people, a lake we love, and about bloody time.

We'll firm this up as bookings happen, but here's the shape of the week so you can plan yours. On a quick scan, this should answer most things.

We fly outTuesday 30 March, into Milan Bergamo, and stay the week, home Tuesday 6 April.

We're stayingIn Bellagio, not booked yet. We'd advise basing yourself there too.

Come forHowever long you can. The week, a weekend, or just the day, all good.

KidsAbsolutely welcome. Charlie and Alfie will be there.

Drinks and food together in Varenna. Be there if you possibly can.

Venerdì · Friday 2 aprile · 1:30pm

The wedding. The full day, ceremony at 1:30pm through to the last dance. No sneaking off.

Before you book: Bellagio is lovely but hilly, so check the walk from your accommodation to the Lido di Bellagio first. Weather in early April is usually sunny and warm, but it can change within the hour. Pack a layer.

Our steerWe usually go Ryanair from Manchester, Birmingham or Stansted, whichever has the best times and prices that week. It's the Easter holidays, so expect roughly £100–200 return per person, and about an hour and a half in the air.

The Postcard Route

Milano Centrale → VarennaTrain, about an hour. Sit on the left for the best views.

Varenna → BellagioThe ferry across. 15 minutes of pure postcard.

BellagioLast ferry is usually around 8–9pm, plan accordingly.

The Budget Route

Milano → ComoTrain to Como, quick and easy.

Como → BellagioThe bus up the lake road. Slower, but cheap.

BellagioThe views do the entertaining.
